I Am The Honey Badger Of Nursing School...

MY 5TH SEMESTER OF THE LONG, HARD, TOUGH, RIGOROUS & AT TIMES MENTALLY DEBILITATING, ROAD TO COMPLETING MY DEGREE AS A REGISTERED NURSE BEGAN TODAY!!!

BUT THE EXTRA GOOD NEWS IS - I WILL GRADUATE THIS SUMMER.
THAT IS GOD WILLING & THE CREEK DON'T RISE!!!
MY REWARD FOR ALL THIS HARD WORK, DEALING WITH TEACHERS THAT GRADUATED FROM HITLER'S NAZI SCHOOL, NO SOCIAL LIFE AND NO FUN, WILL RESULT IN THIS - CYNTHIA WALLACE, RN.
(I SURE LIKE THE WAY THAT SOUNDS)

When I started blogging on December 1st, 2011, it began as an outlet to relieve stress and express my creative side (which I had not been privy to either since Fall 2010).  I have been guilty of study for days without sleep, staying up all night completing piles of clinical paper work in preparation for the following day of clinicals in the hospital caring for patients.

I purposely did not talk about my School when I first started blogging because I was literally at my breaking point at the end of last semester and needed the break from it.  But reality has set it once again - because "It's Back".

I can honestly without a doubt that blogging has saved me.
So Stay Tuned For All My Adventures Of A Forty Something Year Old In Nursing School.  Because Some Days I Could Write Script For Chelsea Lately From A Day As A Nursing Student.

"Lassez Les Bon Temps Roulez Tide Roulez"

BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP DAY
"Lassez Les Bon Temps Roulez Tide Roulez"
Yup - I am a self professed Bama Girl
PRE-GAMING WITH NICK BABY!!!
Nick Baby & I Just Getting A 'Lil Pre-Gaming ON!!!

So Today I Just Can't Help Myself...
I Got To Cheer Loud For My Team...
"The Alabama Crimson Tide"
It's A Family Tradition
A Team That I Have Been Privileged To Attend All Home Games Since I Was A Wee Baby Through Adulthood.
I Was Born With Crimson Blood Running Through My Veins.  Matter of Fact Hospital Records Indicate My Blood Type Is "Type O Positive Crimson".  My oldest daughter attended University of Alabama & my youngest daughter will begin there in Fall 2012. Not to mention Aunts, Uncles & Cousins!!!

And Remember You Gotta Kiss Yo Momma With That Mouth
The reason I say today I got to cheer for my team, is because since the ALABAMA VS. AUBURN Game, (just making a reference to the approximate timeline) and all the opinionated poor sports and classless fans (From All Teams - Not Directing This Towards Any Particular Team) people that must have not thought to hard about their words and actions before they put their foots in the traps spoke, I have had a bad taste in my mouth from all the hating that went on from SEC teams against their on SEC teams - And I have refused to post ANYTHING having to do with SEC Football whatsoever on my Facebook nor any other public forum.

And I have sit back and kept my Fingers & Mouth Shut (and it has not gone un-noticed by those who know me).  I just was not going to let other peoples negative words and opinions cause me to act just as small.

And I Was Definitely Not Going To Allow Anybody To Tarnish The Well Deserved Football Season That The Alabama Crimson Tide Has Worked So Hard For...

With That Being Said:
I LOVE MY LSU FRIENDS
&
Good Luck To Both Teams!!!
After All We Are The #1 & #2 Teams - And There Just Ain't Nothing Wrong With That!!!

BUT TODAY IS A DAY I WILL SHOUT FOR MY TEAM AND STAND UP TO ANYBODY FOR A TEAM I HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED MY ENTIRE LIFE.

SABAN IS THE PROD!!!

Big Roll Tide Shout Out To
My Guest Blogger Today - Mr. PS...
Seeing how tomorrow is a BIG Day for Alabama and LSU Fans I wanted to go ahead a crank up some Roll Tide Roll.  So I asked my favorite Ex-Hubby to write todays Blog.  So without further ado - here it is...

Having attended a couple of Alabama vs LSU games in the 70's I got to thinking about "Mike" the LSU tiger. LSU used to place Mike's cage next to the visiting teams tunnel and as the team was taking the field would touch Mike with a cattle prod and Mike would roar like nothing you have ever heard before. (Mind you this was back when PETA was still a bread!) The ensuing fear that came over the visiting teams players and all the tripping and scrambling out of the tunnel was hilarious. This of course fired up the LSU Tiger faithful and of course frightened the unfortunate few players and coaches of the opposing team who happenend to be at the front of the line coming out of the tunnel.

I got to thinking that Nick Saban has become the cattle prod to the LSU tiger buttocks in recent years. Nothing inspires LSU fans more than the thought of Nick Saban coming into the stadium and the LSU tigers grabbing him by the throat. I find this interesting because Saban brought LSU back to respectablity and he truly has good feelings towards the University. He established charities and he and he wife were great community activists around the state. Never the less Nick Saban left Baton Rouge and they have not forgiven him.

Beware LSU fans! Nick may be the prod to the butt of the Tiger (God rest your abused soul Mike), but Nick is so focused as a coach he may turn that prod south towards the genital region come Championship Monday.

ROLLLLL TIDE ROLLLLL !!!

'Bout That Place

Pirate's Cove
"I love this bar
It's my kind of place
Just walkin' through the front door
Puts a big smile on my face
It ain't too far, come as you are
Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar"...

Most Definitely Come As You Are.  Located in Josephine Alabama on the backwaters of Orange Beach and the Gulf Of Mexico you will find a Quaint Local Hangout known to a Few of the Many.  We locals would love to claim it is our little secret, but that is far from true.  It is in fact a place that both locals and people from all over the world come together and hangout.  Yet nobody will ever leave feeling like a stranger, most likely will leave feeling like part of a family.

This place is home to many literally and physically.  Then there are those of us that fondly refer to it as our home away from home.  But either way it is a Happy Place for All Who Come.

Home of The Cove Burger, Home To The Best Bushwackers & Home To Awesome Fries.
Home of Great Live Music & Great People.
Home of Cove Dog Olympics.
Home to Many Many FurrFriends and FurrFamily

A Great Place to Sail to, Motor Boat to and Drive to.

A Great Place to Spend The Night and A Great Place to Wake Up!!!

"We are a whole inthe water that has lasted over 50 years. We are on our 3rd generations of Mueller running this place. It is in our blood and ther is nothing else we would rather do. Thanks to all of you guys that make it possible to fullfill our family tradition".

New Years Eve Was A Fog!!!

Not Surprising To Those Whom Know Me That I Would Say "New Years Eve Was A Fog".  Seriously It Was A Fog - Lotta Fog & Lotta Fun.
It Turned Out Nothing Like It Was Supposed To & Exactly Like It Should Have.  Funny How Things Happen Like That!
So it started like this.

VISIBILITY = POOR TO NONE

CONDENSATION = HIGHLY SATURATED

By now it has probably occurred to you that I spent New Years Eve on a sailboat somewhere 'bouts the back channels of the Gulf of Mexico.  But don't hate me "cause I got friends in LOW places where the whiskey drowns and the beer chases the blues away" - 'Cause I will always be okay with friends like these...

NEW YEARS EVE PLAN:
Two sailboats of friends would leave early in the afternoon (2:00 PM to be exact) sail to the Wharf in Orange Beach for Fireworks & Festivities, and dock there for the night.  We would meet up with other friends, have some pre-game drinks, walk around Wharf, eat some dinner, go back to boat drink some drinks, get our party clothes on, drinks some drinks, walk around Wharf, drink some drinks, watch fire works, drink some drinks, go back to boat drink some drinks, go to sleep, wake up the next morning and cook some breakfast on the boat.

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED:
Two sailboats of friends left early in the afternoon (2:30 PM to be exact)
Visibility = Poor to None & Condensation = Highly Saturated.
Set out for the Wharf in Orange Beach for Fireworks & Festivities, and to dock there for the night.  THERE WAS NO SAILING...  With the help of GPS and all hands on deck all EYES on deck we watchfully & carefully crept through the fog.  Thinking we surely were the only ones on the water, we were 'SURPRISED" a few times.  Surprised, meaning from out of the fog we came upon many other boaters - lets just say they were really really close when we saw them.  We also saw a towboat that was three barge lengths that missed its channel and was stuck on a sandbar by Ono Island, with the coast guard swarming around (bet somebody lost their job) - I mean it's not like you can just turn one of those things around in a channel of water that is not as wide as you are long.  Shortly thereafter a decision was made to go to Pirate's Cove for a Famous Bushwacker & Cove Burger, and then on to the Wharf.  Great Idea - We All Love Pirate's Cove - spent many a weekend on a sailboat at Pirate's Cove - HECK YEA LET'S GO!!!  Yummy always.  Okay let's head to the Wharf.  OH NO - We Are Socked In.  Absolutely NO Visibility.  Hey - We've been stuck in places we didn't want to be before, but this was not one of those times.
At this point we politely inform the Crew of Pirate's Cove that they are stuck with us for the night.  As disappointed as we could tell they were, they made the best of it.
So here we are, two sailboats of friends docked side-by-side at Pirate's Cove,
Oh, What-To-Do, What-To-Do.
LET'S GET OUR PARTY ON - IT'S NEW YEARS EVE!!!

SO WE CHANGED OUR FORECAST FROM THIS ---->
